Julie Kristine, in person services and ceremony
Why in person?

Some things ask for a body in the room

A great deal of this work travels perfectly well down a video call. Marrying two people does not. Neither does laying a grid through a house, clearing a room that has held something heavy, or feeding forty people who came a long way to be together.

These are the services I bring to you: to your home, your venue, your land. What they share is a belief that the space, the words, and the food are all part of the same ceremony, and that treating them as separate is why so many events feel oddly hollow at the center.

A threshold marked well is a threshold you actually cross.

Every event is built as a marked container: ages, depth, flow, and agreements settled before anyone says yes, with trauma-informed care running through all of it. You can read exactly how the Academy holds its spaces in the Container Field Guide.

What I bring

Four services, one holder

Licensed wedding minister & priestess

Legally licensed to marry you, and equipped to make the ceremony mean something. Handfastings, vow renewals, elopements, commitment ceremonies, and full weddings, written with you rather than read at you. Traditional, ceremonial, or entirely your own invention.

Ceremonial catering

Real food for real gatherings, from the founder of the Academy's food literacy program. Healthy, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free menus, built around your guests and their actual bodies. Food as part of the ceremony rather than an afterthought at the end of it.

Crystal gridding

A crystal and energetic grid laid through your home, venue, or land, holding the frequency you want the space to keep. Set for a single event, or built to stay and hold a home long after the guests go home.

Space clearing

Clearing a room, a home, a business, or a piece of land before you fill it with something new. Ideal at a move, a sale, an opening, a closing, or after a season the walls clearly absorbed.

Moments I hold

What people book me for

  • Weddings, handfastings, and vow renewals
  • Blessing ways, baby blessings, and welcomings
  • Moving into a home, or preparing one to sell
  • Opening a business, studio, or practice
  • Memorials and the closing of a chapter
  • Seasonal gatherings, sabbats, and full moon circles
  • Retreats, workshops, and team days
  • Anything you have imagined that has no name yet

The last one is not filler. Email me for unique cases and I will tell you plainly whether I can hold what you are describing.

Bring the whole Academy

Larger events, more practitioners

For bigger gatherings I can bring Academy practitioners with me: sound baths, breathwork, hypnosis, tarot, readings, energy resets, and land blessings, all held to the same Code of Ethics.

Tell me the shape of your day and I will propose who to bring and what it would cost as one quote rather than several.

Every event is quoted on its own

Send me as much detail as you have: the date, the place, the number of people, what you want to happen, and how you want everyone to feel when it is over. A rough idea is plenty to start.

I reply with what I would do, who I would bring, and what it would cost. Quotes include travel, agreed in writing before any contract is signed, so nothing about the number changes after you say yes.

Ceremony belongs to everyone. If cost is the obstacle, say so in your first email and we will find an arrangement that works for both of us.

Frequently asked questions
Are you legally able to perform our wedding?

Yes. I am a licensed minister and can sign your marriage license. Requirements vary by state and county, so tell me where you are marrying and I will confirm exactly what your paperwork needs alongside planning the ceremony itself.

Can we combine services?

Most people do, and it is where this work shines. A wedding with the venue gridded beforehand, the space cleared that morning, the ceremony held, and the food carrying the same intention becomes one continuous piece rather than four vendors in a room together.

Combined events are quoted as a whole, which usually costs less than booking each piece separately.

How do you handle dietary needs?

Directly, and without making anyone feel like an inconvenience. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and allergy-conscious menus are standard rather than special requests, and I plan so that every guest eats the same beautiful meal wherever possible.

Do you travel, and how is that priced?

Yes, I travel for in person work. Travel costs are calculated into your quote and agreed in writing before any contract is signed, so the number you approve is the number you pay.

What if what we want is not on this list?

Write to me anyway. Some of the best events I have held began with someone describing a thing they had never seen anyone do. Unique cases are genuinely welcome, and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person to hold it.

¿Puedes oficiar o dirigir la ceremonia en español?

Sí. Oficio bodas y ceremonias en español, en inglés, o en las dos lenguas a la vez para familias bilingües.
