What we know about you (very little)
1. What this Site collects
Three things, and only three:
- Analytics. We use Metricool and Google’s tag (Google Ads) to understand how people find and use the Site: pages visited, rough location, device type. These tools set cookies and collect usage data under their own privacy policies (see section 3).
- The Values Experiment. If you take part on our Values page, we store the three value words you chose, and nothing else. No name, no email, no account. Your words join the anonymous community tally.
- Server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider (Google Cloud) keeps standard technical logs for security and reliability: IP address, browser type, pages requested.
2. What this Site does not collect
- No accounts, passwords, or profiles.
- No payment information, ever. Checkout happens on WithMe, Stripe, Etsy, or Custom Ink, on their systems.
- No names, emails, or contact details through this Site.
- Nothing we could sell, because we don’t sell data. Full stop.
3. Cookies and analytics
The analytics tools above use cookies and similar technologies. If you’d rather not be counted, you can:
- Block or clear cookies in your browser settings.
- Use Google’s opt-out tools at myadcenter.google.com or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Browse with an ad/tracker blocker. The Site works fine either way.
4. The partners who handle more than we do
Most of what you can do with the Academy happens on platforms we partner with, and unlike this Site, those platforms do collect personal data when you use them. Our intention is to be transparent about exactly where that happens. When you use them, their privacy policies apply:
- WithMe (withme.so): courses, memberships, books, community spaces, and checkout. When you buy something or join a community, WithMe collects and holds your account, name, email, and payment details under its own privacy policy.
- Stripe: payment processing for in-person event tickets. Stripe handles your card details; we never see them.
- Etsy and Custom Ink: merch orders. Each collects your shipping, contact, and payment information to fulfill your order.
- YouTube / Google: ALLtv videos and playlists embedded on the Site are served by YouTube, which may set its own cookies and track viewing when you play them.
- Google Forms: our health assessment and TEAMS interest forms. What you submit there goes to us through Google, and only what you choose to share.
- Social platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Spotify, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Patreon, when you follow, message, or interact with us there. Each platform tracks activity under its own policy.
Wherever the Academy itself receives your information through these platforms, whether an email address, a form answer, or a story you share, you choose how much you want to share with us, and we will honor and protect what you share to the best of our abilities. We don’t sell it, rent it, or pass it along, and we only use it for the thing you gave it to us for.
5. How long we keep things
Values Experiment submissions stay in the anonymous community tally for as long as the experiment runs. Analytics and server logs are retained according to Metricool’s and Google’s standard retention schedules, which we don’t extend.
6. Kids
Our ALLkids content is made for families to enjoy together, with a parent or guardian leading the way. The Site isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA, UK, and California), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. Because this Site collects so little, there’s usually not much to act on, but the rights are yours, and we honor them. Reach out and we’ll respond. For data held by our partner platforms, requests go to them directly (we’ll gladly point you the right way).
8. Changes to this policy
If we change how the Site handles data, for example if we ever add a newsletter signup, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above before the change takes effect.
9. Talk to us
Questions, concerns, or requests about your privacy? Reach us through any of the Academy’s social channels linked in the footer below. A real person will answer.
