>> Hello. And uh welcome to do your upping work. We are on our third episode of the sacral chakra. It has been long overdue and I'm here with my friend Mallory. Hi. I don't I don't know if you want to take a minute to introduce yourself because I mean I think people have might have seen your face around here before, but Yeah, no. I'm Mallory. Um I am a combo practitioner and I'm a barber. I also love doing cord cutting with heart cuts and I'm just excited to be here and be a part of the academy and watch everything grow and help anybody in any ways that I can as I get to know everybody and they get to know me and yeah, 27. I'm pretty young. I've not really been doing anything for too long, but I'm just, you know, living this good human experience with my friends and good people. Yeah. Don't let the 27 fool you. I have to remind myself constantly that she is younger than me because Mallory is wise. Very wise. What is it called? What is it called? >> >> It's the Utah spring. I was like Uh so today we are talking about the sacral chakra and I'll pull up some slides. We have so many fun things happening here at the academy. Uh recently Mallory just helped me put out the newsletter. Uh the cosmic dispatch. You can find it on our Patreon. It is lovely. Um and that is where you'll be able to find all the things about our fun little community. And our the beginnings of this uh the chakra reset protocol are all up and live over on our coaching platform. You can find that over on Patreon. And we are only on the sacral chakra and I'm releasing them as we go because we're going to do this together. And um next month I'm going to start a um a May challenge for the root chakra. And we're going to do a point system because it seems like that might be a popular thing. And so uh I hope everyone's going to be invited. And then we'll just go from there. So this will just get a a preview of what's to come because sacral chakra is seems to be a really hard one for a lot of people. Um and this is where I seem to lose a lot of my clients. >> >> They just come and disappear in this realm and then it's too much. It's a lot for people to kind of go through. So yeah, I thought today we could talk about it together and maybe talk about some of the hard parts about it, disigmatize um it, but first we'll go through some information. So uh what is the sacral chakra? The sacral chakra is the lower um located in the lower abdomen below the navel and it is the seat of pleasure and well-being. Uh the element is water and it's directly influenced by how we experience our emotions. The core themes are guilt and pleasure, creativity, abundance, sexuality, motion and emotion. And this is where I we lose everyone here. >> >> The sacral chakra controls controls our physical health, our well-being and our immune system. When we retain feelings, water is also retained in the body. So things to think about here. The color orange is the color of the sacral chakra and the sacred symbols are the crocodile, the pyramid and money. Um let's see here. Do we need to like talk about these or do they all represent a like a moment of time for you? I mean all of the certain like colors and symbols that are associated with it. Yeah. I mean do you want to just touch on them briefly instead of more of like a super detailed thing because I feel like when your energy is clean when it comes to sacral money is important because that's a grounding and if it's not grounded through your sacral but also pull through your root, you're really not like holding on to anything energetically to be able to have stabilized energy which is probably why a lot of people that shop. You know. And also it's money is attached to self-worth and self-worth is your sacral chakra and if you don't do your work >> yourself and you don't love yourself. >> yourself. And true true love is like loving every part of yourself and it is not easy. This is where shadow work and attachment styles come in so handy and this is where the community support comes in for this because it's not easy doing this stuff alone, especially the parts that we don't want to look at and the parts of us that are like yeah, sometimes it means looking back at something that happened that you don't want to have to remember and like processing it, but also sometimes it looks like writing a letter of forgiveness to yourself. Yeah. Or maybe that looks like writing a letter to your ancestors and telling them to thank you so much, but no thank you. >> >> I choose to only do this part. Yeah. You don't have to choose to do all of it. No. No. By all means. You have to look for >> Your ancestors, let's clarify. For your >> >> Work on your things. That is not yeah, work on your [ __ ] That's okay. Yes. >> >> Do your [ __ ] work. Oh wait, that's the Mhm. >> >> It's our It's the one guy. Oh oh is it the mean one? Oh no, he knows he's not welcome here. Um the crocodile reminds us that we need food, rest, exercise and pleasure. When deprived, it becomes irritable. And I think that could be such of a interesting theme for a lot of people this week. I think sacral chakra is coming up exactly when we all need it to. I've noticed a lot of people feeling a lot of these things and a lot of people neglecting themselves and that's myself included. Um the pyramid is uh balanced when energy is balanced connections to creativity, joy and abundance are constant and I love that. You know when you're in that like you're in the vibe and in the flow and you're like you're feeling yourself, you feel cute, but also like you feel cute because you believe you are cute because you know you are cute. It has to be like glamour magic. I don't know how to explain it better. >> No, that's true. I agree. It It self-love like you project a different version of yourself that you want people to see and it works. When I feel myself beaming in self-love, I literally just like start saying a bunch of affirmations and I'm just like right. And they they come out of nowhere. It's like I'm not thinking about it. She's like affirmation. I think affirmations are so good for this one and we have them here today. I have some fun things for us. Okay. Uh body connection. Uh this one's really cool. So um this one is governed by the reproductive glands, ovaries and testes. Fully formed around the age 14, controls appetite for food, sex and pleasure. Um this controls the bladder, the immune system, uh prostate, lower abdomen. Imbalances may show, please talk to a doctor. Uh endometriosis, fibroids, chronic cramping, prostate issues, sciatica, sexual dysfunction. All blocked up. >> would be something of that sort, too. Yeah. PCOS is a hormonal imbalance and a lot of people get it because it's environmental and it's usually due from trauma. Mhm. Mhm. Oof. Yeah. Archetypes for this one. The emperor and the uh the empress is the positive archetype and the negative archetype for this is not surprisingly the martyr. >> >> Um let's talk on that first cuz I like to end on a positive. The martyr is the negative ar- archetype. It deprives themselves of the simple pleasures. Feels cheated by goodness and punishes themselves by forbidding warmth and comfort. Full of guilt and projects it onto others. I have the perfect story >> behavior. Okay, I used to work at a bar in Nashville, Tennessee. Yeah. And these two very beautiful, very thin, modelesque women came in and asked if I would split a shot of vodka for them. What? >> Because of the calories. And this is a really great pro- personality of deprives themselves of simple pleasure and then projects of their guilt onto others because now it's my problem. >> for me >> >> because I don't want to. >> [gasps] >> Yeah. Uh You know. >> >> Girl, just drink the shot. Yeah, or or only have half. I don't I don't know. Or maybe I don't know any at anything else. Anything. That's what made me stop working at Starbucks on the my first week is when someone asked for a a a venti coffee with 1/3 shot of espresso. I said, nah. 1/3? 1/3 of a shot. Like not even a half. Like this is worse than the vodka. >> want a drop. Yeah, please. >> >> Help me. No. Yeah. That's not fun. But these are like simple things of people depriving themselves because they want to like feel guilty. This is like a good part of like Catholic guilt in your sacral chakra. This also I've realizing Utah guilt is I I don't know if I even want to call it Mormon guilt. I just want to call it like Utah guilt. I mean uh for sure. I mean I even another way of I would say taking Honestly just taking anything away from yourself. Like when you can't have something all the way and you're like screw it, I don't want it because it's not the way that I want it. Why does it all have to be bad and why do you have to take it all away from yourself? Like in any situation because I know a lot of people who will date people and they won't get certain things out of that relationship and so they're like, well, then we just don't want to be in a relationship anymore. Then why are you taking it all away from yourself? Like you can't have a conversation, you can't find a middle ground. It's just my way or the highway, I guess attitude is more what I'm talking about. Yeah. So that's too. That also >> Yeah, there's a lot of interesting like things that can get stuck in this in these fields and then they do, they turn into like illness if you don't process them and work through them. And then the most important thing after you process them and work through them, let them [ __ ] go. Release them. Get rid of them. Stop thinking about them. >> You don't need to keep picking at the scab. >> It's I think people forget that one. >> >> I agree. I I know a lot of people who just live as their story and they just want to be their story their whole entire life and they don't have to. Like you choose to do that. You don't have to do that. Yeah. Yeah. Every Every day that we wake up we get to choose who we want to be. Move on from it. I am a like something I am practicing in my new college is what is the hat and what is this image of the person that I want to be and it's something I've I've been preaching for a while but now it's the it's outside of not my like like who do I want to be inside? Now it's like who do I want to be on the outside? Am I an active business woman Mhm. who likes organization and routines. True. Those are the hats. >> >> They're good hats. They work. >> you project yourself to it. And so it's like I don't know, you just kind of wake up and every day that is your choice, you choose that's the hat I'm going to put on. And if that hat doesn't feel comfortable, then you have to ask yourself, okay, what is it that I need to work through to get this hat to feel comfortable today? Right. Or take a break, have a rest day. It's okay to do that, too. Yeah, those are great, too, because I definitely need those every once in a while or just do nothing. >> Especially in the sacral chakra. Especially in the sacral chakra. It's like so healing. >> Enjoy it. It's fine. Yes. And me and pleasure can mean doing absolutely nothing. That's what I'm saying. Just what do you feel like doing? Like what just makes you feel relaxed and just like, oh, my nervous system feels calm and I can just like sit here or I can eat the cookie that you keep telling yourself you can't eat. Just eat the [ __ ] You're going to hold more weight by eating a cookie with guilt than you would ever to just eat happily. Mhm. Ooh. That I want this cookie to go to my [clears throat] butt cheeks and make them fatter. Have a different mindset about it. Yes. >> >> Be magical and then intentional. And have your magic does something. Anyways, my >> >> my reprogramming with food that I've had to do, you know. I like that. I like that. And there's a lot especially Oh my gosh, the amount of like Utah and the sacral chakra is just like absolutely kills me with the eating disorders and uh the body dysmorphia issues in Utah of everyone wanting to like look alike, you know, to be >> just not even Utah, it's everywhere now. Everybody wants to look like the same person and it's like what happened to honoring your unique features because we all have a lineage that we're honoring. So like if you don't have a future that is just Nobody's should be perfect, either. I like when people have quirks about themselves. It honestly makes them more beautiful rather than Authenticity is like the most important part of where we're going. You have other people, you take the authenticity away and you finally make yourself into what like cis standard white things are in those types of environments and then you have but then you're you're wrong for taking your authenticity away. So it's like damned if you do, damned if you don't. So you might as well just again go back to your sacral chakra, do your work and start loving yourself and understanding why you have what you have and honoring it because it's a beautiful thing. It doesn't need to be to a standard of something that honestly isn't beautiful out of what it was constructed in the first place. Mhm. That wasn't made with love. Yeah. Yeah, and it let me talk about like all these like institutions, they use the sacral chakra for shame. Shame is one of the lowest vibrating words in Shame wizard. You We have got to transmute that. Now, there's also like you look at some of the people on the top and they don't have any shame, right? Obviously, like we're watching it in real time in across the media. We There's some people who have no shame. Why do you think that is? Because they've been misappropriating your shame and siphoning it. Yep. It's literally in plain sight, my dudes. Cuz they're literally using yours for their own benefit. >> And they don't even have to have any so they can get to wherever they're needing to go. >> charging money on top of all of that. It's all a giant pyramid scheme. It is. Uh okay, so actually that comes back into when we've lived in that martyr state when we have all those things that can sit in there. How do you transmute that? And that means taking power and taking control of your own life and your own destiny and that is the archetype of the emperor and the empress. Um they enjoy and respect the physical world. They love abundance and well-being and a high degree of pleasure. They know they deserve the good things in life, good food, comfort and luxury. Feels at home on the physical plane. I know that you and I both love nice things because we both have our Mickey blankets. Well, yeah, and I'm my Capricorn rising with my pis Yeah, no, I just like comfort and Yes. >> >> Um okay, nice. We kind of talked about some of this a little bit with about the blocked um and in imbalance of some of these things. Um when blocked is like feelings of unworthiness, I don't deserve good things and that could not just be about food, that could be sexual, that could be about literally being alive. Like this is like where [ __ ] gets you. Like emotional numbness or overwhelmed, guilt around pleasure, sexuality or money, retaining water, bloating, unexpressed emotions, scarcity mindset, there's never enough, depriving self of rest, touch and joy. It's like not being present. It's like putting things forward and backward. It's it's not in an alignment. So you really have to be like, "What are the three things I need right now? Air, water, food to be alive. Okay, I have access to those things. All right, I There's nothing else I need to worry about outside of this bubble." And then you can start expanding your bubble when you're overwhelmed. That works for me, anyways. Yeah, break it down, start small and then expand from there. If that works. Yeah, I've heard I've heard people talk about even going and tapping into like each one of their senses. What do I smell? Okay, what's one thing I can see? What's one thing I can hear? And going through. I like that. That's really There's a lot of unique ways. I love that. >> I love the five senses. I think it works really well. Yeah, I like that, too. Um and also if anybody else has other ways that they do things, like let us know because like there's so many different ways to like do this and we have if we don't share, we can't all grow, you know. Exactly. Um okay, when open it's a deep sense of deservedness and self-worth. Creative energy flows freely. Healthy relationships with pleasure and abundance. Emotional expression without shame. The cup is half full, gratitude not lack and honoring the body with food, rest and play. Three gratitudes are also a really like a cheesy and very fast way. It doesn't matter who you are to get you out of the funk very quickly. Um also and it can come right back to the food, air, water cuz you know, I've had to use these pretty basic ones for quickly. >> had a [ __ ] day and the only thing you can be grateful for is just like being able to breathe, eat, go to the bathroom and sleep, wake up the next day, if that's the only thing you have to be grateful for. I mean, I think it's And it's not even something you have to go and write down every day cuz I think a lot of people hear, "Ugh, this is like one more daunting thing I have to do." But that's also your mindset. And then you are still stuck in the martyr thing. So that's where you have to make sure that you're also you're not being your own enemy by also holding yourself back from things that could just bring you simple joy. Like some people just like to check things off a list. I'm one of those people. >> >> Quirks, raise your hand. Some Some people just have like their own little quirks. So like at the end of the day, even if you can just say to yourself and just say, "Hey, three things I'm grateful for." Like just start slowly shifting your mindset and I think a lot of people don't understand there's going to be days where you're going to be against yourself and not want to do it, but you have to love yourself enough and that's where the self-love really comes in is even when you don't want to do the things that you know are the best for you to carry you throughout the rest of it all, just do it because when you don't do it, that's when you keep falling back into the same pattern. So if you want to break the pattern, break the cycle, Mhm. do the thing you don't want to do sometimes. Mhm. Breathe through it. I can do hard things. That's what I tell myself. And if And if, you know, like it's too high up there, overwhelms you, then like de-escalate it with something in the same category or same thing you can do. Like, if you're like, "Fuck, I really don't want to work out today. I had a really bad day." Well, then at least go for a 10-minute walk. Mhm. >> body at least. Something that started working for me was setting myself up for success. So, like putting the shoes by the door with the socks in them. >> That's a good idea. I'm not working now in in the past of trying to catch up. I'm preparing myself for the future because now I've been present. >> for yourself. >> And so now I can wake up in the morning and there's literally no excuse. I'm going to trip over my shoes. Um but also like I don't know. It just made like life just is a little bit easier when you like prepare because now you're like, "Wow, I love when future me has cared enough about past self to thrive." >> >> Yeah. No, for sure. That's how I feel, too. It's nice to just be like, "Oh, I loved myself enough yesterday to make sure I was set up for my day." Yes, that's it. That's it. >> Thank you, me. And then self-hug. Self-hug is a great thing, too. I hate people who don't do that. Hug yourself. Yeah. Kiss your shoulder. I don't care. Kiss your knee. Do something. >> >> Do something. >> pinky toe if you can. Do something weird. Do something weird that you love yourself for, okay? >> >> So, actually this is so funny, coming This is just so always a full circle for Utah. So, my first when I first moved to Utah, oh man, I was a [ __ ] mess. Hello. Sorry. Phone died in his face. Sorry. Oh, no. We called and he answered it. It's good. When I first moved to Utah, I was such a mess. And um I had like a ghost in my apartment. I I I was I was I didn't have a house before I moved here. I was living in my car. So, like it was a mess. Anyways, I go to a crystal store and I'm like, "What do you guys have for ghosts?" And the first crystal she looks at me and she's like, "You need a carnelian." And that was the first crystal she And that was the first crystal I ever bought and it was the the very beginning of it all. >> >> That's funny. And they're so good. It's sacral chakra. It's true. I mean, I think tiger's eye was one of my first and so was a quartz. Cuz my sister got me mine. Oh, I love that. A quartz is a like you can use a quartz for literally anything. I think if anyone only has to have two crystals ever, it should be at least a crystal quartz and a then a like a black stone of some sort or a tiger's eye. Love you, girl. >> >> Sorry, you guys. I don't know how to like turn off the notification, either. I'm not tech savvy. I may be 27, but like I said, I'm low-key 100 years old, okay? I don't know what the [ __ ] I'm doing. >> >> I'm here. We We've always had led very authentic live streams. We've had people with the kids and we've had all sorts of things. It's all good. >> We're humans, okay? Sorry. In real time. >> [gasps] >> Um yeah, so if I had to recommend for like first-time crystal owners, it would be some sort of a crystal like clear quartz. The You can use that for a wide variety of things. A black or the tiger's eye like a protection stone is like key. It's like you shouldn't not. You should just wear it. >> too. Amethyst would be my my second and pink quartz would be my my fourth. Those would be my top four. Yeah. They're so good, especially for the inside of the house. Oh, yeah. Do you have a different one you add to the your top four? Hm, my top four. You know, sometimes they shift with what I'm going through. Um I really One of my tops is always going to be a moonstone. That'll always be one of my tops, for sure. Um other than that, I'd really love a topaz. Ooh. Topaz just does something for me that I really love and I've also been able to mine my own, so I feel like I just have a I love that. >> connection with Earth and with that stone specifically. Um >> [clears throat] >> I always have felt drawn to tiger's eye. Like I feel like that's a go-to, but um lapis lazuli is also one of my very top ones, for sure. Lapis is going to be a top. Mhm. But if I feel like you had to just have like basic ones that people should just like know and just like have in their pocket, I always think a black obsidian is a great way to go or tiger's eye. I think those two are like the greatest protectors that are just like you don't have to do too much work to program it to have it. It's just kind of there. Um and then I do feel the same about like a clear quartz. Like I mean, you can't go wrong. It's just it does so much and it's easy. >> Um I think honestly one that doesn't get enough hype is a is a rhodoside or rhoda rhodonite? Rhodonite. Rhodonite. >> Yeah. That's a great self-love crystal, actually. >> It is. It is. I've worked with it a lot. Yeah, I I It's one of my little keys that I wear sometimes, like my skeleton key. Oh, nice. Yeah. Nice. Yeah, rhodonite's amazing. I love that one. Um all right. Okay, here we are to affirmations. So, these are just you can make up your own. Here's some suggestions. You could put them on a mirror. I think saying things three times out loud, magically I wish I knew more about like the with like logic behind it, but there's something magical about saying things three times out loud. >> I think it's kind of related to and I'd say this lightly because I know some people may not understand it. We'll have some classes on it, but when it comes to like witchcraft, in order to sometimes solidify some of the spells we do and words are spells. I don't care what anybody says. And so when you're doing affirmations, it's, you know, your words are your spells. And so when you're saying it three times, it's a solidifying and three is the number of, you know, many things, actually. >> Yeah. My point being is it makes sense why you want to say it three times. Cuz like I say a lot of my affirmations three times because I feel like it does a full circle and it's almost like a circle thing, too, I guess. Mhm. I like that. Anyways, tangent. Yeah. I know. I'm This is like where we would need like Cats come in with like historical knowledge. Yeah, like I'm just tapping in. Don't mind me. Okay, some of the good ones on here are I honor my body and treat myself respectfully. Though, I think it's a a lot of times it's hard for people to understand that other people might have a hard time respecting you if you don't respect yourself. Mhm. Um and that's a hard pill to swallow for a lot of people. And that's also goes the same with love. If you can't expect other people to love you if you don't also like love yourself. There You have to manage your expectations. Um >> >> on top of that. >> point of like confidence, too. Like people can see when you're insecure and it's not in a mean way. It's just It's It's a vibration that you give off that you have to be aware of. Mhm. Um which also is a lack of protection, as well. So, you have to be careful with that. Mhm. And we do talk about a lot of this in One Source Flow One and you can find that on Patreon. Not to sound like a broken record, but I I will eventually will will come and talk about We should get a button that we can press on the computer that says on Patreon. Oh, yeah. We have to take a commercial break and I'm the commercial break. >> >> It just like goes past the No, just make it Winston. Anyways. >> >> I almost just need the horse Yeah. >> leading it to water. Here we go, guys. >> >> I agree. Yeah. Uh okay. So, uh yes. Anyways, we're We'll talk about that more, but uh it talks about like the science behind a lot of this. It does talk a lot more about the depth of affirmations and things like that. So, um Okay, sacral chakra nutrition. This is where Mal comes in. Um this is a fun juice recipe. I'm personally very sadly allergic to mangoes. Um so, I will have to remove this from It's my only flaw as a human being, I think, is the mangoes. No, I'm just kidding. That's terrible, but it's the only thing I'm really sad about, mangoes. >> It's mangoes. Yeah. But doesn't mean you guys can't enjoy them. So, here's a little juice recipe and orange foods. So, I actually did a my one of my college papers about the phytonutrients in the foods and so that is already posted on the Patreon, as well. Mhm. [gasps] And there will also be this slide and more and there's a whole ass workbook that I built for you guys and it's so cute. And it's also on the Patreon under um the chakra reset. And you can go through. It has the journaling prompts. It has everything and you can get 50% off the course using the code word all of them. So, Okay, energy and movement practices. Energy and movements, these are like some of our favorites that we do is candle magic. We love candle magic. And also dancing and moving. We were just talking about those today. Mirror and self-love ritual, those are good, but also like tricky if you're not if you're like in the darkest part, maybe don't start there. Maybe like talk about that with a practitioner that is safe to Mhm. This is where help is nice. >> help you with that because I've seen it go really good and I've seen it go really, really bad. I think that self-love ritual work, too, with the mirror. You can start as simple as just like writing, she said, like writing the affirmations on the mirror. Um instead of having to be so like, "Hey, there's yeah. Consult a practitioner. That's what I think. >> Yeah, if it's a if it's a trigger. Yes. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. Uh we uh will be having some really cool people come in and and then talking specifically um in more detail about the sacral chakra um and and probably behind a paywall, because it is like sensitive um information. Mhm. Um and we want to honor all of that. So, um okay, so some of the stuff you can do at home um or again at a yoga studio with help. Um are your different yoga poses. with your yoga. Yeah. Please we are not doctors or medical practitioners in any way. >> >> And I'm not a yoga instructor, so And me, neither. Um and there um just [clears throat] pigeon pose, deep deep squats, um anything that's like chest, uh back, and hips, and then hips and groin open it open openers, which is all hard ones. Twerking is great. Mhm. Yes. Yes. Same. And nobody has to see you if you do it at home in the dark. Yeah, >> >> just do it. I do it all the time. Do it while I cook. Yes. It honestly just brings so much more joy to life. It does. You can't be sad when you're twerking. >> how am I going to be sad when I'm just like throwing it in a circle in my kitchen? Yeah. >> [gasps] >> Um okay, some of the my favorite uh parts of the workbook that we're putting out and some of like the all of this part is the journaling prompts. This is the parts where it actually like are moments that you need to like pause and reflect and actually ask yourself without anybody looking and no one's going to read it. Ask yourself some honest questions. And I think these are where people sometimes feel like they need to be performative and not honest with their answers or they're looking at their neighbor to see what they're going to say instead of really reflecting. So, I invite you again to really take some time and just pick a couple from here. Pick a couple. There's different um little options. So, we've got um your well-being, your deservedness, your abundance, and pleasure. Um like, let's see. Can you see the joy and pleasure in small things? And that's a pretty good indicator of like where you're at in your mental state. Mhm. I like to describe them if I'm on like a zero to a five, I rate my day on where I'm at for space holding or energy levels and something we're trying to increment more in our community before you just like dump things on people and Yeah. We just Yeah, communication. It's good to communicate. Mhm. Um let's see. Do you feel like you deserve to enjoy life? Do you honor Do you honor your body's need for rest when you're tired? I think that one's a hard one for a lot of people, especially in a hustle culture. Um that one's a a challenging one to know when to relax. And if you don't relax, your body will literally force you to relax. Or you'll get sick. Yeah. If you have an autoimmune No, my flare up. Like it's Yep. Rest is very The thing is is you won't get things done if you don't rest. So, just like do it, especially if you're a generator and you push yourself so much or or a mani gen, if you're talking human design, if nobody knows what I'm talking about. Um in human design, there's different types. But anyways, if you know what I'm talking about, if you know, you know. Um do not not give yourself rest, because you can only push past that rest being a generator so many times or a mani gen that you will burn and it will not be good, because it'll take you 10 times longer to heal, to keep going. So, you might as well just take that rest, even though your brain wants to tell you something different, cuz our culture is just messed up. Mhm. Facts. Culture In other cultures, they will go take a nap on their lunch break. Yes, that's how I grew up in Chile. When I came here, I was like, "What is happening?" Yeah. What? There Everybody had naps. It was the best. Yeah. Sleep was better. Everything was just a little bit better. Yeah. We need that. Yeah. Um okay, I can't even see what this Is that fluffy? Which one? Um let's see. Okay, so this each There's a different angel attached to each one of the chakras and angel met Archangel Metatron shows up for this one. Shows us us the proper measure of things. He teaches us to value the material world and to know that who we are Oh my gosh, it moves my slides. Who we are and what we are what we do are enough. It's like, I got you if you need me. I'm there. >> >> It just like literally keeps popping up on why. Uh I am a creature of light open to my highest joy. So, those are all of our informational slides today, but um I don't know. I was just wondering if anybody had anything that you or you specifically, Mel, that you wanted to share about your journey with the sacral chakra. Um my journey with the sacral chakra has been um a very interesting one. I mean, starting at a very young age, I went through a lot of sexual trauma um and it didn't really stop until I was 17, it seems like. Which is hard, and I'm not saying it was consistently that long, but it was different people for different time periods for different parts of my life. Um and so, I had a really, really big self-love journey. The brink of my self-love journey was in like I want to say 2020 one. Yeah, cuz I had moved into my first apartment that I'd ever lived in on my own with my um this person that I used to be friends with. And I had just finally looked at myself and I was like, "I'm just like really tired of being this way." And so, my sacral work really started to show up when I started doing a lot of holistic healing around my sexual trauma and then self-love and understanding that self-love is more than just how we see ourselves. It's how we fuel ourselves, take care of our body, it's how we want to perceive others, cuz if you're perceiving others negatively, it's because you're perceiving yourself nega- negatively. Projection is a [ __ ] quite literally. And um yeah, I don't know. My sacral journey has been a lot of ups and downs, but at the end of the day, it's just about radical self-love, which a lot of those things that come back to you will be in full circle, but it takes a certain maturity to finally get there. I'll be really honest, because you can go through all different types of things in your life, but if you don't really like get down to the parts where you can look at your shadows and know that they're the ugliest parts of them, but still be able to hold them and bring them into a light, you will not ever be out of that self-doubt and that like negativity of not being in true self-love. And when one is blocked, you're never going to be in a cycle with your chakras, either. So, it is important to go through each one and do each step and clear each one out, because they all hold different things. Um but sacral specifically has been one of the hardest ones that I've ever had to actually go through, but I'm very grateful for it, because to be on the other side of it, I don't see and identify with my past, like we've talked about in the previous part of this live. I don't have to like identify with my story and make my story just me everyday life. Like I'm allowed to move on from it and it was a part of me, but now I'm the stronger version and more loving version that I've ever been and I'm really grateful for it. The chakra of your sacral is just like literally just do that work, because it will make you love your life, the world, every [ __ ] thing. It'll make you love stupid chair that you sit on everyday and drink your coffee. >> >> I don't know. It's a different feeling when you have it grounded in you, too, and you're also not lying about it, because I know a lot of people who lie about it and you can see right through it. Like just genuinely I don't know. And then once you actually get to your sacral and you open that up and you have that self-love and you're just expressive and you don't care about how your expressiveness is perceived by others, Yes. it locks in with your heart chakra in certain ways that I can't even describe. So, I'm not in that one yet, so I won't spoil that. >> >> Figure out the other part first, because I can tell you right now, once they're connected to another part of what self-love is, it's literally the true yin and yang within like your own self. Mhm. Balance and just like total self-acceptance. Yes. So, the amount of no [ __ ] to give in that general area, like in the best in like the healthy ways, it feels like. Yeah. And also like I you mentioned like briefly, um this is like a really good place to also express that this is where boundaries are so important. Boundaries are very important in this one. >> Boundaries are the boundaries that you make and that you keep for yourself. >> >> Mhm. Not that you necessarily impose on others constantly. No, not the boundaries you make like for others, like boundaries within I get what you're saying. Like just get up and do it. Like don't create the boundaries of like I know that I love myself so much that I'm going to I'm going to do it. Yeah. It's a mind shift and it's kind of where all of this kind of starts and that's how you build the new new neural pathways to start creating these new healthy habits and new like thought patterns because you are making the actual moment. And I I always say like when people are in unhealthy like patterns, usually it's like a wheel turning and you just have to find something to glitch the spin. Mhm. And I usually just like pick put like a stick through the the spoke of a wheel and just glitch it. And that's why we always make jokes about like do something weird to get like out of your like habit. Glitch it and then laugh at yourself and be like okay, how can I fix this scenario. I've done whatever done this again. Yeah, exactly. >> I've patterned a pattern. I've overwrote I've overridden my pattern. I don't know. >> It's on override. We're overriding it. Doesn't exist anymore. Yeah, delete file, new skill. >> >> Delete file, new skill. New document, new title. >> Sometimes it helps to like help organize maybe it's me. I don't know. No, it's a capital letter. It's a robot. Girl, I even I have my whole closet in short sleeves, tank tops, dresses, long sleeves and all color organized, too. Yes. Not even just by Yeah, no. Organization's great. It's a healthy way There's healthy ways to compartmentalize and organize things and compartmentalize doesn't mean you put it away forever. It just means you organize things and come back to it. We could go off about organization, but But that's how you organize your inner world, too. It's the same way. I know. Do you want to share like your journey with the sacral or I mean, I know it's hard to get like too deep into the journey. So I was like I could go deep into this, but it's a lot of things to be aware of. Kind of >> Yeah, I think we can help hold better containers for more vulnerability and I think yeah, there's something to come up There's a lot of bravery to come on and share stories live. And also that also means that we can move things to where we need to to honor all the parts of this, too, cuz it it is a sacred journey to heal and I I think that there it should be done in beautiful proper ways. Right. Um something that um I guess this after we did the root chakra last year, the sacral chakra I was like okay, like waiting for it. I was like what's going to come up for this sacral chakra? And I've been sitting with it like I think it's been a few months at least. I have no idea what is time. It's been a while since we did the root chakra and in that time I I I went through a lot a lot, but mostly I that's when I started writing my papers about decolonizing my faith and deconstructing my religion and and kind of going back into like my childhood Mhm. and looking at my pictures and writing writing my autoethnography for for Denver University and it it it brought up a lot, but not in ways that I expected, either. Like I thought it was going to be I don't know you can't expect to know what's going to come up when you do this work and Well, that's another thing. When something comes up, don't bypass it. Just freaking go with it. You don't know what's going to come up and like for me it looked like going because I was born into like religious programming, it meant to me I had to go all the way back to birth and beyond and I had to go look at my ancestors and trace how far back did Christianity go in my bloodline. And I looked back into all the records to see who owned who, who was associated with who and who was in whose business. And I I went pretty deep and it wasn't fun. I read things that were horrible. I mean, awful like disgusting and and I can tell you for a fact that my ancestors were really displeased with what I was not only digging up and telling people, but also um what I was doing with that information. And I was meeting like a lot of resistance. Um Mhm. in just ways that we notice, you know. Oh, yeah. Um You know, then every day Even if you think it accountability doesn't go beyond the human life, it it does. It goes way beyond that. >> >> Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, I I had to do a lot of cord cutting, a lot of meditation, a lot of reflection, a lot of processing and a lot of letting go. And so then dream spaces Yeah, you have to go on You're a multi-dimensional being. So it doesn't mean you're only going to deal with it on this level. You have to go through all the levels and all the layers. You have to meditate and you have to think about all the different perspectives of things and you have to even put yourself in other people's shoes to have compassion for things so that you can forgive because there's a lot of forgiveness that comes in this. Forgiveness for yourself and a lot of forgiveness for others. And forgiveness doesn't mean you necessarily have to forget um for the harm that others did to you. That's for you to decide with your karmic fate with you what you want to do with that, but for me and my field, I choose to release things so that I can move on and do bigger and better things. Yeah. What you choose to do with your energy in your field is yours, but education and knowing what it can do for you and how it can affect your field if it's sitting in there not properly is is an an important part of energy literacy. Mhm. It is. Huge understanding and important part of it. Yeah. Uh sorry, I just went on a whole >> >> You pop off. You pop off. Yeah, it was a it was an interesting year, but I I'm starting to post some of my papers on the Patreon, too, so that you can always go back, but it is my baby, so we will. Um the some of my papers there because I believe there's a a really healing part of being able to share your story. And just because also your perspective it doesn't match the perspective of somebody else in your family doesn't mean it's the wrong perspective. And I think that's a really important thing for people to like hear and understand because a lot of people have probably most likely, if not probably, I don't know, felt gaslit by somebody in their family and said that your reality wasn't your reality. They lived a better and a different existence than you did. But everyone has a different experience and we all process and do things differently, so tell your story and share it. If you want to And it's okay to have your perspective and your opinion. And again, like she said, that you don't have to agree. True spirituality, whether it's in structural religion or whether it's in just being a spiritual being, you love crystals, maybe you don't, whatever it is that you like that brings you into embodiment, right? Neutral perspective is going to be the thing that gets you the furthest because you're able to have empathy and you're able to love from it rather than hate from it or have judgment and vice versa. So true spirituality is neutrality and I will continue to say that till I'm blue in my face and until I die because there should never be extremes. And whenever there's extremes present, then you need to double-check yourself, take accountability, but also make sure that things are in alignment for you and also checking the energy around you. Mhm. That's all I have to say. >> Mhm. >> [snorts] >> Yes. Would you Would you say that the polarity to shame What would be the the opposite of shame? Is it pride? of shame would probably be like ego. Ego, so pride. Would that be of the seven virtues? Yeah. Mhm. Yeah, so there's polarities in everything. So you got your shame and then you've got your pride. And the part is is like there's not a good or bad in any of those things. You want to find the balance in between. And you need to have You need to have a little bit of any pride. Yes. You want to have the balance. >> that work for you and leave the pieces that don't. Like many of us say when we say this, take what resonates, leave what doesn't. Yeah. And also >> don't have to hold on to something that's not within your alignment. That's fine. But stop being upset because you're trying to convince people of your truth. You can still speak your truth and have somebody's willing to listen to it, but you can't shove it down their throat and make it your truth theirs. That's not cool, either. No. It's not. No. Neutrality. Mhm. Say it again. >> >> No, I'm holding on to it. I'm twisting it and >> >> I'm having my like physical thing to do while I sit here. Your stem. Yeah. Yeah. >> >> Yeah, got you. Exactly. Mhm. Uh well, yeah. I think Yeah, I'm trying to think if there's there's anything like more that I would like to add to this particular thing. I think we've covered kind of boundaries. We've We've kind of talked about attachments of like what that can look like, too, of things not like not letting go. Those are like sticky attachments. Um some of the things that are beautiful ways to let things go. I think we we've talked about this in a few episodes. Um but we'll continue and it's also in the one source flow one. Talk about clearing your energy field and it just talks about connecting with the earth and connecting with your own self and clearing your bio field. And we have one episode already about the bio field with Earth to Taylor and we have another one coming up and I'm very excited about. She goes into so much detail. So those are that She'll give you all the like the science without the woo-woo where me and Mal are probably going to be wherever we're going to be right where we want to be. >> >> You never know with us. You know, I just I already speak to people beyond life, so I'm just going to leave it there. I can be where I want to be. >> >> Facts. Facts. >> >> It's fine. I'll just be talking to the spirit guides and stuff. Wow. I think I'll come back to the Mhm. Well, I was going to come back to the affirmations. Just maybe we could do a little ending exercise with everybody. Get a little bit grounded. Put your feet on the ground. Connect to Mother Nature. Go outside if you like me. Oh, please put your feet in the grass at least once a day, at least. And then just close your eyes and gaze towards the sun with your eyes closed. Importantly. Importantly. Yeah. >> >> I love it. It's true. Um, but just clear that pineal gland. Man, even if it's just for a minute. And then take a few breaths and get really, really present and think about wow, does my is my energy pushing forward? Is it leaning backwards? Is it leaning to the right or to the left? Am I in the middle? Centered? Do I feel any blocks? Do a little body scan. Just kind of imagine moving energy all the way up from the bottoms of your feet all the way up through the top of your Let go of your day. Don't hold on to your day. Let it go. Breathe out. Pull in another deep breath and from the earth. If you're feeling called, hands to the heart. I allow abundance into my experience. It's a good one. Mhm. Feel it in your energy field. I allow abundance into my experience. And imagine your biofield it like imagine the frequency of the words going and tuning your biofield. I allow abundance into my experience. And then I like to seal that in with visualizations of like white light, gold light. Mhm. And then I love to seal that in with a couple of gratitudes. Thanking the universe that for the abundance it's already given me, for the abundance it has yet to even show me. Yeah, thank you. Always thank your body for being alive, healthy, and working. Mhm. Grateful for any type of movement that you're able to get. How deep you can take a breath. Wiggle your toes. Mhm. Every sip of water, gratitude. Add some lemon. Drink some water. Be grateful you can breathe through an nostril. Especially in the spring. Yeah. >> >> I like looked at one of those trees and I was like grateful you could breathe. Falling. Yeah. Mhm. Beautiful. Actually. Well, thank you for everyone who did join live. And if you do have questions, you can pop over to the Patreon. You can always email us at academyoflogicandlight@gmail.com. Lots of new exciting things are coming. Um, but our community is over at the Patreon and we've got a lot of cool workshops, a lot of cool events. Oh, well, thank you Mallory also for like being here with me along this ride for all these years and also like coming and introducing yourself and sitting with us with the chakra that no one wants to sit with. >> >> I feel like it makes sense with how much work I've had to do with my sacral chakra. So, like I will, you know, I will take it and I'm just grateful to be here and be a part of it all and the fact that it's been this many years of like such a growing, ongoing community and it's just going to get bigger and full of more love and understanding and it's really exciting. I'm really grateful to be here. So, I'm happy to be here. Thank you, too. Thank you. Yeah. All right, we will be back next time with the solar plexus. And until then, you That's a great one. It's a really fun one. And that will probably be sooner, actually. Yeah, we need to make it sooner. Yeah, we will. I got I got it. All right, we will see you guys next time for the solar plexus. >> Yes. Fine.
